SMP named one of the top 100 senior photographers in the country
SMP is one of the top 100 senior photographers in the US
I never imagined that as small-time local photographer living in State College, Pennsylvania that I would be named one of the top 100 high school senior portrait photographers in the entire country, but it happened in 2018! In 2018 I was named one of the top 100 senior photographers in the country by Senior Style Guide, the leading source of everything senior portrait related in the photography industry!
What does that even mean?
So what does that even mean? It means that out of the thousands of senior portrait photographers in the country who submitted over 8,000+ images, my image was hand-picked by some of the best senior photographers as one of the best in the country, naming me one of the top 100 senior portrait photographers in the entire United States!
how my image won
a group of highly accomplished and successful photographers in the senior portrait community judged this competition and selected the winners based on a daunting list of criteria. From lighting to angles to editing to style - everything was taken into account when picking the best 100 senior portrait photographers in the USA. With different categories you could enter images into, I entered the SOOC (straight out of camera) category because I make sure to get every image I shoot as perfect as possible when I take it (aka - I’m not about that photoshop life, so what I take in real life is the image you get, minus minor lighting and color adjustments). The judges must have felt the same way because I was chosen for that category!
so what image won?
okay, by now you’re probably wondering what image won, right? I am so excited to share it with you! So excited, that this image got its own blog post! Click here to see what image won and gave me the title of one of the top 100 senior portrait photographers in the country!
I’ll chat with you in the next blog!
